Assignment Title: Qualitative Research; Media Influence of Contextual Meaning of the Fat and Its Linkage to Body Image
This assignment taught how to conduct qualitative research. In the research, understanding body image was studied; the skills obtained were conducting qualitative research interviews, compiling data, analyzing data, and writing a qualitative journal.
From this assignment
the understanding of qualitative research was gained. From conducting
qualitative research an understanding of the extreme challenges involved in
research were seen from writing appropriate interview questions, interviewing
styles that convey comfort and ease with interviewee, compiling and organizing
data, analyzing and writing research journals. All of the information applied
when compiling and completing this assignment, reflects all of the previous
nutrition information gained in undergraduate nutrition studies.
Qualitative research
is a very important part of the Nutrition and Food Science profession;
demonstrating these skills are used daily by nutrition professionals as it
teaches how to use in depth research of populations to understand their
psychological and physiological needs. This type of skills is used to enhance
all nutrition professions in the field.
