Assignment Title: Theory Based Nutrition Intervention
This assignment
taught how to examine a specific population to meet their nutritional needs
through theory based nutrition intervention. In the theory based nutrition
intervention the skills obtained were writing surveys, researching specific
population needs, creating presentation on PowerPoint based on needs and
creating activities that enhance community nutrition learning.
From this assignment
the understanding of community nutrition was gained. Applying theory based
nutrition intervention is very useful to enhance the care for specific
populations, by meeting their needs by a number of ways including understanding
their health needs, concerns and goals to helping them reach these goals
through small steps and improvements based on research and interviews. All of
the information applied when compiling and completing this assignment, reflects
all of the previous nutrition information gained in undergraduate nutrition
studies.
Theory based
nutrition intervention is a very important part of the Nutrition and Food
Science profession. These skills are used daily by nutrition professionals, as
it teaches how to use in depth research of a specific population to enhance the
care of patients and clients in the hospital to the education and community
setting by accommodating their specific needs. This type of skill is used by
every nutrition professional in the field.
